Laura Mercier announced an open casting call in the fall. After hundreds applied, we brought in a group of women to our offices to get a first look at our new and improved Tinted Moisturizer Natural Dewy. Then we chose our final muses to be featured in our campaign. Meet Kendall, our incredible superfan! She is an event coordinator who appreciates skin looking like skin even with makeup on.

My tinted Moisturizer shade is 4N Teak
How long have you been using Tinted Moisturizer?
I have been using the product for about 5 years now! Both the oil-free and the original formula
Who introduced you to the product?
My mother first introduced me to the product; truthfully I took hers and that is how I started using it and fell in love with it
Why did you want to apply to be a part of our campaign?
I applied to the campaign because, first and foremost, I’ve always been a fan of the product, and I’ve long dreamed of being part of a beauty campaign. Laura Mercier feels like the perfect fit—it aligns with my view of beauty, focusing on enhancing what’s already there and celebrating natural beauty. I also love how the brand embraces diversity with its wide range of shades, ensuring that every skin tone is represented and celebrated, making beauty inclusive for all.
How did it feel to be chosen for this campaign?
At first, I could hardly believe it, but I’m so grateful for the opportunity. I’m excited to represent Black women and to have the chance to showcase my natural curly hair in the campaign. It truly feels like the start of something special.
Do you have a favorite memory from being on-set?
My favorite memory on set was hyping everyone up during their solo shots! Since we’re not professional models, it can get a bit nerve-wracking, so being able to lift each other up and play music we loved felt so uplifting—it reminded me so much of what girlhood is all about. Plus, having my makeup done by Tayaba and hearing her tips was something I’ll never forget!

What do you think about the new formula? How is it better?
I LOVE the new formula! I have combination skin, and it enhances my skin's natural dewy texture while providing great moisture, leaving my skin feeling plump. This will definitely be my new everyday go-to—it's long-lasting, and since I’m always on the move, I love how it moves with me!
What are some of your other favorite Laura Mercier products?
I've always reached for the original translucent setting powder! It is a staple that I will always replace. However, the new ultra blur powder is stealing the show! I also love the pure canvas blurring primer under my tinted moisturizer; it is the perfect combination. For a night out, I reach for a caviar eye stick in moonlight; its perfect!
